OAF Hosts its 4th Nationwide Maritime Virtual Quiz Competition, 2023

Another thrilling edition of the Maritime quiz award ceremony took place in November of 2023. Students from different schools registered and participated in the competition and 10 winners emerged and a girl child was first position. They were given their prizes and they also got to meet with mentors from different fields in the Maritime sector and become their mentees just like we have done for students in the past and will continue to do. The mentees who got sponsorships to universities through our foundation also graced the event and got to interact with the students still in secondary schools as a testament that they can achieve greatness if they work hard and have the right networks which Ocean Ambassadors continues to provide.

It was also an award-giving day for the amazing mentors and partners of the Ocean Ambassadors Foundation to appreciate them for the work they have done, are doing and will continue to do.

The 2023 Ocean Ambassadors Foundation fifth Educators and Maritime Stakeholders lecture and Awards recognized individuals/corporate bodies that have been pillars in the course of the year.
The spicing of the event was the inauguration of the league of members that will support these students with the various choice of marine and Blue economy courses.
The league of mentors had captain Tajudeen Alao(seafarers), Barr.Oluseyi Adejuyigbe(maritime lawyers), Mrs Funmilayo Olotu(port administration), Chief Mrs Ufere(port admin), Mrs.Ekeoma Ezeibe(marine insurance /maritime law) and Multimix Academy (Dr.Madu Obiora,Supply chain+logistics).
Truth be said,OAF cannot go beyond conducting quizzes, trying to get scholarships but we cannot assist them with the right careers to choose, that was why we instituted the league of Mentors, so that the students will have DIRECT ACCESS to these great Mentors in the industry.
OAF is eternally grateful to our extraordinary Ambassadors, that was why we celebrated them also.
Our technical partner LTT marine and coastal services was also recognized alongside our main sponsor Nigerian Shippers council.
We say a big thank you to everyone that contributed to the success of the day.
We specifically recognize our selfless special guest of honour, Barrister Olayinka Oladunjoye, a 2time commissioner in Lagos state and now commissioner, National population commission(Lagos state rep), who volunteered herself as a mentor and stayed with us to the end.
