The 2023 edition of this event was nothing short of amazing. Our mission is to empower girls to grow to be empowered women. Dr. Mrs. Dideolu Adekogbe gave an overview of 2030 Blue Economy & AFCFTA and the advantages. During her talk, she spoke to the girls present about the skill they need to get into and flourish in the Maritime sector. Lectures were also given by important people who have made waves in the education and Maritime sector in various fields such as Dr. Ganiu Tarzan Balogun, Mr. Emmanuel Audu, Dr. Yinka Ayandele, Mrs. Juliana Saka and a host of others. They gave very key tips and education on their areas of expertise and the students present testified to have learned a lot and their horizon was broadened.
And of course, it wouldn’t be complete without the ship tour. We took them on a tour to see the insides of a vessel and took them on a tour in the vessel on water.
It was a great event and the students as well as everyone who attended left with more knowledge that they had before they came.
